The Fingertapps SDK allows developers to quickly build multi-touch applications. Developers can use a combination of the high powered multimedia capabilities of Fingertapps and Adobe® Flash®. Using your traditional development process you can create ActionScript based applications which can register multi-touch contacts or even processed gestures such as zoom, rotate and pan.
The Fingertapps SDK allows developers to create applications entirely in ActionScript or use a mix of ActionScript and Fingertapps Components to create mulit-touch applications for a range of touch screen hardware. Fingertapps Components include; the Carousel, Zoomer and 3D Product Viewer.
Using the Fingertapps SDK developers can create dual-touch (2 simultaneous touches) Adobe® Flash® applications for NextWindow overlays, the new Dell Studio 19 and the HP Touchsmart All-in-one PC. On N-Trig enabled devices including the Dell Latitude XT2 and HP Touchsmart TX2 developers can create Adobe® Flash® applications can use 2-6 touches (note: requires Win 7 beta or later). In addition to provide raw multi-touch event data the SDK includes a number of pre-defined two finger gestures that can be used instead of the raw event data.
Coming soon: Fingertapps SDK support for the TUIO protocol and the NUI Touch Lib, and multi-touch screens from Lumio and IR Touch. Note: The Fingertapps SDK is currently in beta, with an expected general availability in April 2009. If you would like to start developing and testing applications today get in touch and talk to us about your project.
